Palma Nautica

The Port of Palma de Mallorca is the largest and most important port of the Balearic Islands. It currently covers an extensive coastline between the Moll Vell (Old Pier), in front of the Cathedral and the West Dock (next to the Porto Pi neighborhood). It is used for the transport of merchandise, fishing boats, pleasure boats, passenger transport and military ships. There are two maritime stations in service at the Peraires Pier, from where cruise ships and regular-line ships operate to Barcelona, Valencia, Ibiza, Mahón or Denia. Due to the increase in the number of cruise ships that stop in Palma, a third maritime station has been enabled in the West Dock and works are currently underway to build on the two old stations. The wide sports offer allows the visitor to practice their favorite sport, highlighting especially the nautical activities. Its beach is one of the largest on the island and has a marina at its eastern end. Maritime competitions make up the milestones of its sports calendar. Numerous sailing regattas of well-earned international prestige are disputed in its waters. The Prinesa Sofía Trophy, the Cup of His Majesty the King, the Admiral Count of Barcelona Trophy in Mallorca, the Admiral Ferragut de Snipes National Trophy in Menorca, the Salt Route and the International Sailing Week for cruise ships in Ibiza are some of them . To know the complete network of facilities for the 1,428 km of coastline visit the Balearic Nautical Portal.
